Ordinary People, Extraordinary Dreams

Guest Choreographer: Grace Leong

Live not within frame. It's strange how often we feel a tradition with limited merry fantasy, for magical dreams evolve beyond that. So we overleap the barriers, and imaginative thoughts run freely. Thus, these shall be no perimeters of walls, for the sky is the limit.

Leaving to dance is like life. You take baby steps, tiny leaps and jumps, someone's always there when you cry. You're tip-toeing on new shoes, stiff and unused, everything's new to try.

Things are starting to come together, your once new shoes are felling softer. Each delicate pointe is becoming more like an arch, leaps and kicks become stronger each morning.

Soon you realize your every jump and kick is right, the steps are fluid pwuring out of a jar. Everyday you're twirling into a new adventure, every dance you dance makes you a star.

Dance is not about technique, but a way of expression that comes more closely to the inner language of man than any other.

Imaginative

Choreographer: Benedict Soh

The spotlight brightness, the music begins. I'm up on my toes, as I twirl and spin. I jump and I leap, from one side to another. Feeling just the music, Never any others.

I raise on pointe, then down in plie. Performing what I've done, for so long everyday. To dance is my dream, I can't let it die. For whenI do dance, I feel I cam fly.

The world can disappear, my troubles can cease. For just one moment, I am truly at peace.

Only You

Choreographer: Benedict Soh

Only you, a place the heartbeats makes the time. For the moment I truly fell at peace, depp urges within brought me here. Somewhere I was able to pirouete, my dance took an instant flight. Some painful and sweet movements I experienced, Only you, being my peaceful ground.

Only you, a place that brings me applause. Bearing the load i soar with joy, it becomes one of my wonders in life. Only you......

It's in dance where i feel alive, loved and understood. It's more than twenty years, a whle life dedicated and sacrificed to this difficult and form, that sometime treasons us, but becomes a soft drug, treating an addiction almost impossible to grop. It's a drug, but a healthy drug which rewards us for our efforts and sacrifices.

There is no more enjoyable thing than staying hours at the barre, stretching your legs or trying to do things a little bit cleaner and better each time. There is no such thing that can replace the long and tiring hours of rehearsals, the lights, the pain of pointe shoes. Nothing can suruplus that wonderful and special moment of putting your make-up, going on stage, the curtain rising and dancing for an audience, big or small, but whose applause fulfills us completely.

Nothing and nobody can ever replace the wonderful, though difficult and sacrificing experience of being a dancer.

Moments filled with memories, the stoops to fix her shoe. Her heart is racing quickly, her dress rehearsal is due.

Stage is like an ocean, where crystals seems to shine. Beckons her to dance upon, reflections of a like time.

Suddenly she rises,, she sees the magic there. Running in a gusst of wind, she dances with great flair.

Moments of a willow, so gracious as she sways. Gentle sounds of orchestra, each step her grand ballet.

Destiny is born now, her graceful moves divine. Pirouettes across the stage, her shadow now aligns.

Dance of life begins now, her music special score. Bowing for the audience, she hears the word ENCORE!
