Life is akin to a game of Snakes and Ladders. We begin our journey at the same starting point, but not everyone has the luck of a smooth sailing life. However, despite the impediments, sometimes life deals us a good hand. Perhaps, this childhood game is a microcosm of our life journey-one that is unpredictable at its best.

Quandary

Choreographer: Audrey Ng Hui Fang

“Quandary” – a state of perplexity or uncertainty over what to do in a difficult situation. In choosing to be part of the masses, the desire to belong and be accepted compels the creation of a person’s identity towards conformity. Deconstruction of the force-fitted identity ensures upon the realization that one has the choice and ability to reinvent oneself after learning that one does fall in with the existing group that he/she once chose to belong to.
